Two crises and a challenge: How Plymouth can respond to the Climate Emergency and Coronavirus recession and face the challenge of Brexit.
We are delighted that Luke is able to find time in his busy schedule to join us for this special Chamber Live event. As Shadow Secretary for the Environment Luke has been at the centre of Westminster politics during the coronavirus pandemic, whilst also representing the business and public communities of his constituency in Plymouth.
Born and bred in Plymouth, Luke Pollard was elected as the Labour and Co-operative Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport in June 2017, and re-elected in 2019.
Luke will address three of the key issues facing the city and region today. How do we rebuild our economy through the Coronavirus downturn while responding to the Climate Emergency and navigating Brexit? How we position the region during recovery will be key to overcoming this collection of challenges, while making sure our lobbying is heard clearly as a campaigning voice.
Born and bred in Plymouth, Luke Pollard was elected as the Labour and Co-operative Member of Parliament for Plymouth Sutton and Devonport in June 2017, and re-elected in 2019.
Our Chamber Live sessions on Zoom include a substantial Q&A as well as an in-depth update from Chief Executive Stuart Elford.
Join us to experience our virtual panel session where we will be providing our business community with a platform where you can find expert advice in different subjects that are impacting on us all at this time, and the opportunity to ask questions of our panel about your own specific situations.
Following the sudden and unprecedented impact of COVID19 we completely understand the challenge businesses are facing. Therefore, there has never been a better or more important time to be a member of the Chamber with the reliable, trusted support of a well-connected and influential business group that can provide you with valuable advice to support you and your business.
