With this week's key Government announcements on jobs, training and skills this session could not be more timely. The job market will have a vastly different outlook in the months to come with a surge in unemployment expected when furlough support finishes.
Not to mention the issues that young people just about to enter the workplace will be encountering this summer.
At the same time, recovering businesses are likely to be eyeing recruitment opportunities with a surfeit of skilled workers available after redundancy.
This edition of Chamber Live will help you understand how to take advantage of this, while focusing on the options available for training new staff.
Guest panellists include Steve Cardew, Chair of Board at Kawasaki UK, who is also heading up the Skills4Plymouth initiative.
We also welcome Caroline Wilson, Senior Account Manager from Big Ant Recruitment providing a valuable insight into the current commercial labour market trends and how the hiring process is likely to change in the second half of the year.
Kirsty Mottram will also join us to represent Skills Support for Redundancy, a LEP funded programme to support those at risk of redundancy.
Other highly relevant experts will join us to help answer your questions, including Sharron Robbie from the Devon & Cornwall Training Provider Network and representatives from DWP and the Youth Hub.
Join us to experience our virtual panel session where we will be providing our business community with a platform where you can find expert advice in different subjects that are impacting on us all at this time, and the opportunity to ask questions of our panel about your own specific situations.
