Zoom app, joining details and agenda will be sent one day prior to the event.
This event is free for all business leader to attend.
We would like to invite you to join us for a very special Chamber Live virtual event with Mims Davies MP, the Government’s Minister for Employment at DWP. We are also honoured to welcome Baroness Stedman-Scott OBE DL, spokesperson for DWP in the House of Lords, who has specifically asked to join us for this event.
The Minister is keen to meet with Devon & Plymouth Chamber members from businesses across Devon to discuss employment and recruitment challenges for 2021 and to talk about the Government’s Plan for Jobs, including the Kickstart Scheme and the recent FE White Paper.
After sharing with us some of the details of the Plan for Jobs and how the Government intends to implement it over the coming years, the Minister will be happy to answer questions.
This is a unique opportunity to hear direct from the heart of government on one of the most important topics facing us all, and to directly share with them your own concerns and issues.
Skills is one of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber’s own strategic priorities for 2021 and we are keen to support development of not only the scope and standard of skills training in the South West, but also to explore how we can make them more relevant to the needs of our businesses.
We expect this to be a very well-attended event, so if you have a question you would like to put to the Minister, please email it to Helen Hart, our Head of Member Services, here helen.hart@devonchamber.co.uk before the end of Tuesday, 16th February.
Unfortunately, we cannot promise to include every question, but will do our best to incorporate as many as possible into the session.
Any questions we cannot include will be forwarded to the Minister after the event.
Presented in partnership with City College Plymouth.
