Plymouth – Gateway to the World – Past, Present and Future
Join us from 2-4pm on Friday 8th January 2021 as we hear from three inspirational speakers who will celebrate our region's history as a departure point for significant voyages, look at the current technologies behind the Mayflower Autonomous Ship and gaze into the future of autonomous eVTOL (electric vertical take off and landing) aircraft that could be flying from Plymouth's very own heliport. Our speakers are:
World-renowned sailor, adventurer and businessman Pete Goss MBE;
The driving force behind the Mayflower Autonomous Ship, Brett Phaneuf of M-Subs; and
Yori Griffiths CBE from Halo Aviation which has acquired Victoria House at Cattedown as a heliport.
The session will include plenty of time for networking, a short quiz and a tribute to PABC board member Steve Whiteway.
