David is an expert in business taxation working with corporate clients of various sizes and their owners.

After spending an initial few years obtaining a grounding in personal taxation, David is well positioned to provide holistic advice to business owners.  

David utilities his strong analytical ability to break down complex tax issues and communicate them clearly and concisely to clients. He enjoys being able to assist clients achieve their objectives tax efficiently, including maximising available tax reliefs and incentives. 

He works in collaboration with other advisors within and outside Bishop Fleming to ensure his clients receive additional specialist advice as and when appropriate. This ensures a joined up commercial approach can be taken when delivering advice.

Charlie is a driven and experienced audit director and business adviser to businesses in a wide range of sectors.

He joined us from a Big 4 firm, where he has worked with a range of clients across various sectors, including healthcare, housing, charities and manufacturing. Charlie has led in delivering the training in annual accounting and tax developments for finance staff.

Charlie enjoys workings with dynamic and growing organisations to advise them on the challenges they face as they develop and grow. He brings a passion for client service, a true interest in his clients and commitment to high quality delivery.

Freya works with a mixed portfolio of owner-managed businesses, multinational corporates and academies. Her friendly yet professional manner allows for excellent working relationships to be formed and maintained and she enjoys going the extra mile for her clients.

She has a passion for developing strong relationships with her clients to ensure she fully understands their aims, ambitions, and needs, allowing her to provide appropriate support and advice when required.

Jon advises limited companies, owner-managed businesses and their owners and charities on direct tax matters. 

He likes to build long-term relationships with his clients helping to align tax advice with commercial and personal objectives.  Jon is well known for providing clear and succinct practical advice to his clients in order to help them optimise their overall tax position.

He has worked with a wide range of types and sizes of business at different stages of their lifecycle and is able to use his experiences to help clients achieve their commercial objectives in a tax efficient manner.

Jon is passionate about charities and not for profit organisations and is the firm’s lead on direct tax matters for the sector.  He has worked with a wide range of charities, not for profit organisations and social enterprises helping them to minimise their tax exposure and maximise their social benefit.

Craig is an experienced auditor and business advisor delivering high quality services to businesses across a broad range of sectors. He is pro-active with his clients and passionate about delivering robust, high-quality services, whilst also building trusted relationships.

He has strong technical accounting and reporting skills which he has developed through working with a substantial number of corporate entities, ranging from listed to owner managed businesses.

Steve is an expert in business compliance services working with owner managed professional businesses, with responsibility for the Healthcare sector, particularly GP’s, hospital consultants and dentists.

As a Senior Manager in our Healthcare team with over 36 years’ experience, Steve is our practice wide specialist on superannuation. He applies his analytical skills to guide clients through the increasing complexities and impact within their tax returns of pension annual allowance and lifetime allowance charges.

He maintains a close working relationship with a portfolio of healthcare clients, and, in collaboration with Bishop Fleming’s tax specialists and financial advisers, proactively advises on changes in the healthcare sector and how best to deal with their impact.

Dan started his career with Bishop Fleming and qualified as a Chartered Accountant here in 2008. Dan then spent 6 years in London working for a top tier accountancy firm where he headed up a Corporate Services Department specialising in Owner Managed Businesses. Dan and his team won 3 consecutive national awards voted for by Finance Directors for being the best accountant for owner managed businesses before returning to Bishop Fleming in 2014.

Dan has experience of working with businesses in a variety of sectors and sizes. Dan’s clients tend to be enthusiastic, ambitious business owner looking to achieve sustainable growth.

Dan enjoys working closely with owners and delivering commercial and practical advice in ‘clear English’ to ensure that the various challenges that owners are faced with are dealt with in a pragmatic way, to help owners achieve their business goals.

Emily is a Chartered Tax Advisor who is passionate about helping clients with a range of tax matters including Inheritance Tax and Estate planning, Trust Taxation, Capital Gains Tax, and Income Tax.

With over 10 years of experience working in the tax industry, Emily is skilled in providing varied complex tax advice to individuals.  She has a particular passion for advising clients on their Inheritance Tax and succession planning matters, including Trust and Estate taxation.  Emily also thoroughly enjoys helping business owners to understand their own and their business’ tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
