Starting my career as a Merchant Navy Officer in the Cruise Industry, a large part of my role was preparing my colleagues for any emergency that may happen on board; including how to respond to security incidents, fires and medical emergencies. Alongside my career at sea I was Emergency Ambulance Crew, supporting the Ambulance Service responding to 999 calls. Returning to the UK, I combined my passions for training and first aid, initially working with the British Red Cross as a Commercial Trainer in Central London. I was then headhunted by a large Paediatric First Aid Training Company to be their Training and Compliance Manager, responsible for Managing their 135 strong UK wide Training Team, developing their products and being an in house subject matter expert. In 2020, I started Certifi Training - which specialises in regulated First Aid training for the workplace and in paediatrics; in addition we can also deliver high quality Fire Safety and Mental Health Training.
