Becky graduated with a Law degree in 2006 and joined the world of insolvency in 2007 as a Bankruptcy Examiner at the Official Receiver’s office in Plymouth before moving to Richard J Smith & Co later that year. Becky spent 7 years at Richard J Smith & Co with a caseload of corporate and personal insolvency and successfully passed the IPA's Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (2010) and AAT Levels 2 and 3 (2011 and 2012).
Becky then spent some time working in the free advice sector, providing debt and money advice and obtaining the IMA's Certificate in Money Advice Practice (2017) which, allowed her to act as a DRO intermediary.
Becky re-joined Richard J Smith & Co in late 2017 and has since qualified as an insolvency practitioner (2019).
Outside of work, Becky practices martial arts and has her own karate club, as well as writing a blog and enjoying travel, music and following football.
