As the Chamber of Commerce expands its International Trade support it is looking to appoint an Executive Assistant who can juggle the demands of being the face of the Chamber as people arrive at our offices or call with an enquiry, while also supporting the busy International Trade team to complete documentation. Due to the multi-faceted nature of the role you will be able to prioritise with excellent attention to detail, discretion and confidentiality, combined with highly developed customer service skills. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants a challenging, varied and interesting role in the heart of the business community. We will provide training for the successful candidate in International Trade documentation.

Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is a 206-year-old membership organisation and the premier business group in the County and City. Providing a range of member benefits, events, training and support to our members, comprising everything from small start-ups to major international brands, the Chamber works in partnership across the public and private sector to make our area the best place in which to do business. Devon and Plymouth Chamber lobbies hard for our area and now incorporates the Plymouth Area Business Council. The International Trade team at the Chamber also delivers training, advice and documentation services to a range of exporters. The Chamber is entering an exciting period in its development; it has recently moved offices and rebranded, is refreshing its event strategy and launching an exciting new member offer.
The successful applicant will be a dynamic self-starter with administration and customer service experience. The Executive Assistant and International Trade Support role will have demonstrable skills in supporting customers, providing high quality documentation, and working in a busy environment. Able to communicate with business people at all levels, the right candidate will be engaging, personable and professional, able to work as part of a team while being driven to succeed and take their own initiative. Hours: Full Time (attending events outside of usual business hours will be required on occasion).
Salary: c. £18k negotiable depending upon experience.
